Julie Guyot Studio

Original artwork in your own kitchen that is not only beautiful but is also functional!  Yes, please!  Lovely handmade dishes and mugs, as well as other unique kitchenware are available at Julie Guyot Studio.

One of the best things about having an Art Park in Tallahassee is that reasonably priced, locally-made, original art is available and accessible within our community.  That’s why we’re so excited to brag about one of our newer artists/shop owners, Julie Guyot.  Owner and artist, Julie Guyot opened the studio because she wanted to make artwork that her customers could actually use.

Julie Guyot Studio is a working studio where she forms, glazes and fires functional earthenware pottery.  It is one of the few places in town where you can watch handmade ceramics in production and purchase a piece directly from the artist herself.  The studio also features a showroom, where you can find your home’s next conversation-starting work of art.

Julie makes small editions and one-of-a-kind handmade pieces, a unique blend of nostalgia and contemporary style. Customers share that Julie’s dishes make every meal feel like a special occasion!

Its true!  Sipping on a good cup of coffee in the morning is great…but sipping on a good cup of coffee in a gorgeous, handmade mug…that may truly make you smile.  And an ordinary cheese plate easily looks gourmet when served on a piece of artwork!

To expand her variety of offerings, Julie has recently added new handmade products from artisans both local and nation-wide.  These products include soaps, paper goods, cooking salts, and candles. This is a great place to find unique gifts.

If you haven’t yet been, this studio and showroom is definitely worth a visit.  Julie Guyot Studio is located in Railroad Square Art Park at 618 McDonnell Drive, across from Black Dog Cafe on the Square. Open Wednesday thru Saturday 12 – 5pm.  For more information, visit www.julieguyotstudio.com.
